THOUGHTS ON PAINTING
The yellow pear next to the bottle has always been a symbol of the love of the Heavens and the unconditional way that the higher power loves the people of Earth. The bottle itself in the Still Life in Green painting inspires thoughts of enclosure and confinement, yet the proximity of the pear suggests that through heavenly love, one might be able to free that sense of capture. The red fork poking up toward the pear symbolizes a lack of enclosure, suggesting that by eating this pear, by ingesting that love, one can be freed of his sense of confinement.
