THOUGHTS ON PAINTING
The Blue Body Painting appears to place much emphasis on the parts of a woman that differentiate her from the male form, leaving out a lot of the other aspects of her. Though she is seen only from behind, her waist's size has been made to be exaggeratedly small. This causes her chest to appear much wider than it is, alongside her hips, which are so large that they become the focal point of this painting. The nude woman in the painting has been cast in a blue color and is sitting on a contrasting yellow-colored blanket.
