THOUGHTS ON PAINTING
Posed atop what appears to be a couch or another piece of furniture, the woman in the Veronica Painting is lying on her side. Her back is to the viewer and she instead faces the yellow, stripe patterned wall before her. The furniture that she is lying on is both red and black which plays against the yellow beautifully. Her hair is a sunny blonde color that matches the color of the wall and nearly blends into it. This woman is curvaceous and full-figured, her hips and pale skin accentuated with sporadically placed hints of rosiness.
