THOUGHTS ON PAINTING
The To-Nu Painting features the image of a woman in the nude that has been depicted in a very lifelike fashion. She is sitting with her back facing the viewer but her head is turned to the left-hand side, exposing her detailed facial expression. With her eyes closed and face relaxed, she seems to be in a contented state. Her left arm extends down to the floor and the bottoms of her feet can be seen beside her hand. The brush strokes are soft and gentle, much like the colors that are used in the painting.
