THOUGHTS ON PAINTING
The Backlight Painting features the image of a nude woman sitting and facing the viewer. One of her arms is lifted and bent at the elbow with her hand touching her hair. The other arm contours her shape, following the curve of her hip all the way down to rest on the bottom of her thigh. One of her knees is bent which is concealing her waist as well as her chest. She is cast in a number of different colors, including yellow, tan, white, blue, pink and green. These colors also compose the majority of the background.
