THOUGHTS ON PAINTING
Like a hike through the mountains, the Wooded Path Painting puts the viewer in the standpoint of a traveler who is headed up a wooded path. Through the center of the painting, the path is depicted as a slender, perilous yet somehow serene road that runs up the side of a drop-off. This path is fashioned out of earthy tan colors that represent a beaten dirt road. Surrounding the path are instances of trees that lean here and there, all of which possess trunks of varying thicknesses for contrast.
