THOUGHTS ON PAINTING
Texture and color are the main talking points of the Tatra Mountains Painting. This beautiful display of a towering mountain scene is made up of incredibly short and purposeful brushstrokes that add texture and dimension to the piece. These short brushstrokes compose the bottom of the painting where bright green grass on a rolling hillside can be seen. The hills travel and dip into valleys as they near the mountain range. Featuring a tall and prominent peak, the mountain is crafted into its shape in earthy colors such as gray, green, tan and blue hues.

Born in Bengal, Krishnagar, Roy has moved a lot throughout his life and has taken his cues from the colors, the landscapes and the life that he has witnessed throughout his journeys.
