THOUGHTS ON PAINTING
Beautifully short and thoughtful brushstrokes make up the tranquil imagery that can be found in the River Ilawka Painting. This imagery includes a beautiful river scene, the river itself beginning as thick and prominent and dwindling down to a slow stream as it travels toward the background of the painting. Alongside either of the riverbeds that zigzag in and out of the water, green, short grass can be seen, accentuating the beautiful color of the water. Rolling hills gently slope along the right side of the painting, dotted with different trees here and there.
GETTING TO KNOW A. ROY
A. Roy takes his inspiration from artists all across the board, bringing in little bits and pieces of what he loves about each one and incorporating them into each of his works. Born in Bengal, Krishnagar, Roy has moved a lot throughout his life and has taken his cues from the colors, the landscapes and the life that he has witnessed throughout his journeys. This becomes evident when you look at his natural scenes full of serene waters, sprawling mountaintops, pleasant forests and tranquil fields.
