THOUGHTS ON PAINTING
At first glance, this painting may seem to be a bit abstract, but in reality, the Reflection Painting is just what its name suggests. In the blue water of this painting, trees of various sizes and shapes are reflected against the blue sky that is also mirrored in the sparkling water. Hints of clouds can be seen in the water as well, providing a nice, milky contrast to the dark green, light green and brown colors that make up most of the rest of the reflection. Short brushstrokes are used to compose this beautiful painting.
GETTING TO KNOW A. ROY
A. Roy takes his inspiration from artists all across the board, bringing in little bits and pieces of what he loves about each one and incorporating them into each of his works. Born in Bengal, Krishnagar, Roy has moved a lot throughout his life and has taken his cues from the colors, the landscapes and the life that he has witnessed throughout his journeys. This becomes evident when you look at his natural scenes full of serene waters, sprawling mountaintops, pleasant forests and tranquil fields.
