THOUGHTS ON PAINTING
The Tenderness Painting uses some of the most delicate colors to convey its feeling of immense love and understanding. Pale yellow, pastel pinks, soft blues and grassy greens make up the bouquet. The flowers seem to overhang the vase in a way that suggests the tenderness that naturally comes with love overflowing from within a person. The vase itself appears to be sitting delicately atop a placid, ripple-less body of water that holds in its reflection the steady image of the beautiful blooms. This still water suggests the stability and reciprocation of feelings that are found in true love.
