THOUGHTS ON PAINTING
The artist’s aim is to depict realism by interpreting life in its essence, while transmitting it in perfect photo-realistic clarity. The painting is dubbed “Old Tbilisi street” and captures the perfect moment of the cityscape rural life – early morning and the first rays of sunlight. With barely anyone awake at that hour and freshly washed laundry hanging from the lines, this piece is skillfully and meticulously painted to present just a glimpse of the beginning of a day in a small street of a rural area. You can almost imagine the inhabitants of this small, sleepy corner of the world waking up, stretching, and slowly walking towards their windows to meet the day.
