THOUGHTS ON PAINTING
With the graceful domes of its countless cathedrals and clusters of chimneys on its tiled roofs, the gorgeous, unforgettable city of Lviv is an attractive mix of Italian, Austrian, and Slavic architecture, remarkably preserved. It’s a city of unique old-world charm, gently bending modern streets and hidden ancient niches. This beautiful painting represents an old-city square plentiful of people and one of many magnificent cathedrals on the corner. The painting reveals imagery and symbolic intent, but the piece is simultaneously soothing and exciting, as the city itself is. An exceptionally captured image of the true character of Lviv and the city’s astonishing history.
