How to become a famous painter
Arts is a very powerful field in which individuals need to have genuine love and passion in order to excel well. In as much as some people were born natural painters, it is possible for others to acquire artistic skills through education and training and become outstanding painters in the long run. Just like any other profession, anyone can become a painter if they invest time and resources to pursue a career in it. However, the choice of being famous isn’t entirely in their hands, and this is because of other many external factors also come into play. There are many ways to become a painter but that’s a topic on its own. Our focus of today is whether it is possible for anyone to become a talented artist. Now, let’s have a debate about it.
-
First of all, to be an artist is a natural talent even though it can be enhanced through school. Nonetheless, there is often a difference in the quality of artworks between natural born painters and those who learned art in school. The reason is that paintings done by those who learned how to paint from school often seem like they are trying so hard, whereas those made by inbuilt painters are more creative and artistically done. Authentic and appealing! Paintings made by natural painters are thought to be from the ‘heart’, they have a sense of "freedom" and profoundness as they don't follow any academic "rules" and don't look too "stretched" on them. A good painting comes more from the artist heart than his mind or knowledge, it makes you feel something when looking at it, it makes you feel the painter soul when painted that artwork. "Good art is moving or captures a mood or feeling".-
There are many painters who are famous for different purposes. For instance Leonardo Da Vinci is one of the most famous painters in the world for his iconic ‘Mona Lisa’ and ‘Last super’ paintings whereas Vincent Van Gogh is known for his paintings such as ‘Sunflowers’, ‘The Starry night’, and ‘Cafe Terrace at Night’. Rembrant is also one of the world’s famous artists admired for his vivid realism. Some of his famous paintings include ‘The Jewish Bride’ and ‘The Storm of the Sea of Galilee’. It should be noted that these artists and many other famous artists did not initially set out to be famous. They simply had natural love for arts and ended up doing great jobs that were highly appreciated. Hence, they ended up being some of the greatest artists of all times.
Also, it is not entirely in the hands of any painter to be famous as it largely depends on other external factors. Some of such factors include the target population of the painter and how people respond to his or her arts and painting style. Therefore, an artist will rarely attend fame and stardom if his work is not well appreciated and hyped by the society in which he lives no matter how much efforts he puts. However, this is not a strict rule. Remeber that Van Gogh didn't sell many paintings during his lifetime. Just more than a coulple and usually he traded his paintings with other artists or for food or painting supplies.-
Most painters who eventually become famous in the long run are often born with inbuilt artistic gifts which they usually enhance with hard work, determination and persistence. With that said, it is clear that even if all the people who have studies arts in school become artists, not all of them will become popular or famous painters. The reason is that people have different talents, skills and imaginations and will produce different results even if they were trained under the same circumstances.
