THOUGHTS ON PAINTING
The Pronghorn painting takes its cues from Native American symbolism and features a Pronghorn Antelope staring off pensively into the distance. Natives believe that the antelope is a symbol of swiftness and secrets of being nimble, quick and highly sensitive and alert to one's surroundings. This painting seems to convey the importance of being driven by one's own intellect while also stressing the importance of taking a moment to be still every now and again in order to truly be in touch with oneself. It uses earthy, towering grains in the background to symbolize grounding oneself in this process.
