List of original paintings signed by artist Rusudan Khizanishvili

Born to the country of Russia in the year 1979, Rusudan Khizanishvili is a contemporary artist who lives and works in the country of Georgia. She takes her influence from a number of artists that came before her, her work a reflection of the history of art while also putting her own spin on their styles. She primarily uses oil in her paintings to create a unique texture on each one. The results are paintings that verge on nightmarish with their interesting takes of the human form and of places that appear as if they could only be real in the dream world.

A lot of the work done by Rusudan Khizanishvili uses blues and pinks as if examining the polarity that those two colors represent in the world. Rusudan Khizanishvili tends to paint a lot of people but without the standard proportions that one might be used to seeing in art. Instead, it makes the viewer take a second look at the way they might normally view the people around them. When Rusudan Khizanishvili is not busy creating portraits of people in her work, she seems to enjoy painting unique landscapes or other locations. Swimming pools are a prominent choice for her to depict, as are other bodies of water, some including boats and other items while some go without them. While her paintings are indeed beautiful, they can verge on unsettling, as the artist’s goal is to make the viewer shift their point of view on life.
