Decorating with medium-sized paintings can seem a daunting and challenging task, but when you choose the perfect painting and your room instantly brightened, the work will be worth it! Determine how much space you have! The size of the painting you should buy depends entirely on how much open space you have in your room. If you have a very large, bare wall, you will want to cover between 2/3 to 3/4 of the open area with paintings. (Be sure to work around any furniture that may take up space on the wall.) If you have a smaller space, such as a section of wall between two windows, or a corridor wall with no obstructing furniture, then you have a little more wiggle room. It is recommended that you choose medium-sized paintings between 24-36 inches in diameter, depending on the size of your wall space.
